Pay Rate: $30.00
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for purchasing and planning for a wide variety of components, raw materials, equipment, and services. The position will be responsible for specified levels of quality, delivery, price, and total costs. Analyzes data and determines factors that affect prices and determines the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist team of buyers in day-to-day management of purchase orders.
Plan and coordinate with production, materials, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.
Negotiate with vendors for the purchase of raw materials, electronic and mechanical components, warehouse materials and supplies, both domestic and international.
Provide input and work closely with materials/production planning. Review and analyze MRP reports and data. Implement supply chain process improvement and inventory reduction programs.
Reconciliation of open purchase orders, GR/IR (goods received / invoice received), and receiving discrepancies.
KEY INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS
Works closely with production, materials management, and scheduling.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degrees in Inventory or Purchase Management preferred
ERP/MRP experience preferred
Lean Six Sigma Certification highly desirable
Action-oriented with a desire for getting things accomplished
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills a must
Ability to effectively communicate
Knowledge of Excel
