Duties
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, salads, and other food items according to company standards, maintaining high quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food prep zones in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food industry tasks such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick service during busy hours.
- Manage time effectively to ensure fast turnaround times while delivering excellent customer service in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles such as café, retail grocery store, or restaurant is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
