SEEKING ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHER FOR 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
The Hellenic Classical Charter Schools are public charter schools located in Brooklyn (HCCS-PS) and Staten Island (HCCS-SI). HCCS provides a classics based education in the study of humanities and literature for students in Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grades.

Seeking Elementary Classroom Teacher: 7:45 am start - Great time and attendance, good work ethic, team player, learner, compassionate, good communication skills, positive attitude, energetic and good classroom management skills.
The Elementary Classroom Teacher will be responsible for:
- Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across core subjects (e.g., reading, writing, math, science, and social studies)
- Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students
- Using a variety of instructional strategies and materials to support all learners
- Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Managing classroom behavior using positive and consistent strategies
- Building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Communicating regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and classroom activities
- Collaborating with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff
- Participating in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Integrating technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Fostering a growth mindset and promoting a love of learning
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Gr. 2), Childhood Education (Gr. 1-6) or related degree within the field of Education
- NYS Teaching License or related teaching license within the field of Education
- Fingerprint clearance
