Travel CT/X-Ray Technologist – Night Shift

Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Hours: Two 12-hour night shifts per week

Position Overview
IU Health North Hospital is seeking an experienced CT/X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Carmel, Indiana. This is a dual-modality role requiring recent experience in both CT and general diagnostic X-ray.
The technologist will support emergency, inpatient, outpatient, adult, and pediatric imaging services. Candidates must be comfortable working independently at times and performing portable X-rays, CT imaging, and general radiology procedures.
First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT and X-ray experience
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- ARRT certification in CT
- Active Indiana State Radiologic Technologist license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience performing general diagnostic X-ray
- Experience with portable X-ray equipment
- Ability to work independently
- Indiana license and all required certifications must be active before submission
Pending licenses will not be accepted.
Required CT Experience
Candidates should have experience performing:
- CT abdomen and pelvis with and without contrast
- CT chest with and without contrast
- CT head and neck with and without contrast
- Brain perfusion studies
- Coronary CTA
- Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine imaging
- Musculoskeletal trauma imaging
- Preparation and administration of contrast media
Required X-Ray Experience
Candidates must be comfortable performing:
- Portable X-rays
- Chest and thorax imaging
- Abdomen and GI imaging
- Spine and pelvis imaging
- Head imaging
- Upper and lower extremity imaging
- Musculoskeletal imaging
- General diagnostic radiography
Preferred Experience
- Starting peripheral IVs
- Pediatric acute care
- NICU or PICU imaging
- Adult ICU imaging
- C-arm procedures
- Fluoroscopy
- Aspirations, biopsies, and drainage procedures
- Siemens equipment
- Philips equipment
- Carestream portable equipment
- Cerner charting

- Two Philips IQon CT scanners
- Two Siemens digital radiography rooms
- Carestream portable X-ray equipment
- Four imaging rooms
- Cerner electronic medical record
- PACS imaging system
- Stroke-accredited hospital
- Adult and pediatric patient populations
- Emergency, inpatient, and outpatient imaging
Schedule and Call Requirements
- Friday and Saturday
- 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
- Weekend coverage is required
- On-call approximately four to five times per month
- One weekend of call per month
- One to two weekday call shifts per month
- Holiday coverage may be required
- Must work two of three major holidays
- Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview
