Join our dedicated team as a Therapeutic Childcare Worker, where you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being of children in a specialized setting. Responsibilities
- Monitor and observe children closely to assess their emotional and behavioral states, ensuring timely intervention when necessary
- Implement individualized behavior management plans and de-escalation techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce crisis situations
- Assist in the development and execution of therapeutic activities tailored to each child's needs, including social skills, coping strategies, and emotional regulation
- Design curriculum to promote individual and group developmental goals
- Arrange and manage classrooms to accommodate and support diverse learners
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, documenting patient observations, interventions, and progress notes in compliance with privacy regulations
- Administer medication under supervision following prescribed protocols and document medication administration accurately
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid and CPR skills, ensuring the safety of all children and staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, and medical staff to support comprehensive patient care
- Participate and maintain state-required trainings as needed for classroom safety, professional growth and development
- Provide a safe, thriving, and healthy environment for all students in the classroom

Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with infants and young children (2 years minimum)
- High school diploma with Child Development Credentialing (CDA) or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, Education or Human Development degree
- Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or behavioral health challenges is advantageous
- Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, and team members
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Physical ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in crisis prevention or de-escalation techniques is a plus
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
