Duties
- Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty equipment to process linens, towels, and guest clothing efficiently.
- Sort laundry items based on fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
- Perform dry cleaning procedures for delicate or specialized garments following established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces.
- Inspect all items for stains or damages; treat stains appropriately or report damages for further action.
- Organize and store clean linens in designated areas for easy access by housekeeping staff.
- Follow safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to prevent accidents and ensure environmental compliance.
Experience
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
