Job Summary:
The surgery RN will be responsible for patient care pre-operatively, inter-operatively, and post-operatively.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Rooms patients and gathers clinical history
Internal and external departmental collaboration of patient care
Obtains IV access on pediatric and adult patients
Provides pre/intra/post-operative education
Enters patient data into EMR (CPSI)
Circulates for a variety of specialty cases
Ensures patient safety during operative procedures
Maintains sterility of duration of care
Facilitates patient recovery and proper follow-up care
Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Abides by HIPAA guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned (LEAVE ON FOR NON-EXEMPT JOBS ONLY)

ACLS or certification within 12 months
PALS or certification within 12 months
Conscious sedation or certification within 12 months
