The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day human resources functions for an Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) employing approximately 100 Delivery Associates and administrative staff. This position serves as the primary HR resource for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, payroll support, benefits administration, safety documentation, and Amazon DSP compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, maintains strict confidentiality, thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, and is passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience while ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and Amazon DSP and ASC3 Logistics LLC standards.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for Delivery Associates and support staff.
- Review applications and prescreen qualified candidates.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Coordinate hiring events and job fairs.
- Prepare and extend employment offers.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Maintain applicant tracking and hiring records.
New Hire Onboarding
- Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities.
- Complete employment verification (Form I-9 and E-Verify).
- Process background checks and drug testing.
- Prepare personnel files and employment documentation.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation.
- Coordinate Amazon-required onboarding requirements.
- Ensure all required HR documents are completed before employees begin work.
- Assist employees with company policies, handbook acknowledgments, and payroll enrollment.
Amazon DSP Compliance
- Maintain compliance with Amazon DSP operational requirements.
- Track required Amazon training completion.
- Coordinate driver onboarding requirements.
- Maintain Driver Qualification Files (where applicable).
- Support Amazon compliance audits.
- Maintain accurate employee records required by Amazon.
- Assist Operations Managers with corrective action documentation.
- Monitor compliance with Amazon attendance and safety expectations.
- Maintain confidential employment records in accordance with Amazon and company requirements.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees.
- Answer employee questions regarding policies, payroll, benefits, PTO, and leave requests.
- Assist leadership with investigations involving employee concerns.
- Document employee counseling, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Coordinate employee recognition programs.
- Promote a positive workplace culture built on respect, accountability, and teamwork.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Audit employee timecards weekly.
- Review attendance, PTO, overtime, and payroll discrepancies.
- Coordinate with payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain payroll documentation.
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions.
Benefits Administration
- Coordinate employee benefits enrollment.
- Process qualifying life event changes.
- Assist employees with benefit questions.
- Administer COBRA notifications when applicable.
- Maintain benefits records.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment activities.
Safety & Workers' Compensation
- Coordinate workplace injury reporting.
- File and manage Workers' Compensation claims.
- Track employee return-to-work status.
- Maintain OSHA logs when required.
- Partner with Safety and Operations leadership on accident investigations.
- Maintain incident documentation.
- Assist with safety meetings and compliance initiatives.
HR Administration
- Maintain confidential personnel files.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain HRIS records.
- Generate HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Monitor attendance trends and turnover reports.
- Update company policies and employee handbook revisions.
- Coordinate annual policy acknowledgments.
Training & Development
- Schedule required employee training.
- Coordinate leadership development opportunities.
- Maintain employee training records.
- Track compliance with mandatory certifications.
- Support ongoing coaching initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting a workforce of 75–150 employees preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Amazon DSP experience.
- Transportation, logistics, warehouse, or distribution HR experience.
- Experience using ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, UKG, or similar HRIS/payroll systems.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience with Workers' Compensation administration.
- Experience supporting DOT-regulated operations (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
- Frequent computer, telephone, and printer use.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time Hybrid
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional weekends, holidays, or evenings as operational needs require
- On-site at the DSP station at least 3 days a week or as business needs demands,
