Mobile Car Detailer (Independent Contractor)

Job Description
We're looking for experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented mobile car detailers to complete customer appointments throughout San Francisco and nearby Bay Area cities.
We handle the marketing, customer communication, scheduling, and booking—you simply complete the assigned jobs and provide high-quality detailing services. This is a flexible independent contractor position where you can accept jobs based on your availability.

Responsibilities
- Perform complete interior detailing, including:
- Vacuuming carpets, seats, and trunk
- Cleaning dashboards, center consoles, door panels, and cup holders
- Cleaning interior windows and mirrors
- Leather cleaning and conditioning (when applicable)
- Fabric shampooing or stain removal (when needed)
- Wiping and sanitizing all interior surfaces
- Perform complete exterior detailing, including:
- Hand washing vehicles
- Cleaning wheels, tires, and wheel wells
- Applying tire shine
- Drying using proper techniques to prevent scratches
- Cleaning exterior windows
- Applying spray wax or paint sealant (when included)
- Cleaning door jambs and exterior trim
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship
- Take before-and-after photos when requested
- Keep equipment and work area clean and organized
Qualifications
- Previous professional car detailing experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent work ethic and punctuality
- Professional and friendly customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with paint correction
- Experience applying ceramic coatings
- Own detailing equipment and supplies
- Knowledge of professional detailing products and techniques
Compensation
- Average pay is around $120 per completed job
- Pay varies depending on the size of the vehicle and detailing package
- Most jobs take approximately 2–4 hours
