Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QC Laboratory Technician to support ongoing lab analysis in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with a relevant chemistry coursework and local residency. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and advancing manufacturing initiatives. A solid understanding of laboratory procedures, analysis skills, and analytical methodologies is essential for success in this position.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on lab work, learning specialized analytical instrumentation, and working closely with chemists and engineers to support real-world chemical processes. This role is instrumentation focused. Candidates with strong analytical thinking, lab discipline, and mechanical aptitude will succeed here.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation
- Prepare samples and support quality control and troubleshooting
- Collect, analyze, and document analytical data
- Perform routine instrument checks, calibration, and basic maintenance
- Follow SOPs and safety procedures in a chemical manufacturing environment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years + Hands-on manufacturing laboratory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and document results accurately
- Comfortable working in an industrial lab environment
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science/Chemistry (16 Hours of college chemistry)
- Experience with analytical instrumentation (any platform)
- Mechanical aptitude or comfort working with instruments and hardware
- Experience in process chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or R&D labs
SPECIFICS:
- Long-term contract with potential for direct hire
- Full-time, on-site position
- Drug screen, background check, and TWIC card may be required prior to employment
