Overview
The Food Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of food production and ensuring that all processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. The Food Manager will be responsible for managing supply chain activities, production management, and quality control while fostering an environment of efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Oversee the entire food production process, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Implement and manage systems for effective operations management within the facility.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to enhance production scheduling and efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Fabricate solutions for operational challenges, leveraging mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Conduct regular quality control assessments to maintain high standards in food safety and product quality.
- Manage plant operations, including staff supervision, training, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food management or a related field with a strong understanding of production management principles.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and systems is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment effectively.
- Experience in quality control practices within a food production environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across departments.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,500.00 per year
