Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Contractor Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the onsite workforce, supporting various phases of construction projects with hands-on tasks and assisting skilled tradespeople. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, cleanup, and organization of construction sites to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople by handling materials, tools, and equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to assist with project execution
- Perform demolition work or site preparation activities as directed by supervisors
- Help with the installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, tile, stucco, or other building components
- Support heavy equipment operation under supervision and assist in material fabrication or custom fabrication tasks
- Conduct basic construction inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met
- Assist in concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, roofing tasks, or restoration projects as needed
- Follow safety protocols diligently and report any hazards or incidents immediately
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related manual labor roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction safety practices is a plus
- Experience with specific trades such as carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), masonry (concrete forming), roofing (shingle or flat roof installation), or drywall (plastering/stucco) is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery or perform specialized tasks like glass installation or welding is a bonus
- Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude will help you succeed in this fast-paced environment
