SALARY:
Pay ranges from $1,800 - $1,950/Weekly
- Full time: (M-F) 37.5 hours/week
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university
- Applicants must hold appropriate Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator Licensure with Special Education Endorsement.
- Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents
- Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities
- Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEP’s)
- Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis
- Satisfactory special education teaching experience
- Experience with working with Middle School-age students
JOB SUMMARY:
The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for working collaboratively with
school staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets each individual’s goals contained within the Individual Education Plan and other targeted interventions; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.
