Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Discovery Kids Aide to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will assist in implementing activities that promote the social, physical and intellectual growth of children per Parent Aware, MDE and Rule 3 Licensing standards. Responsible for care, and redirection of children covering infant, toddler, preschool and Kindergarten through 6th grade groups.
Duties
- Help classroom teacher and assistant teacher maintain a structured environment and meet various guidelines.
- Supervise children, actively engaging, and maintain attention and control of large groups.
- Assist classroom teacher and assistant teacher with different tasks to fulfill smooth daily operations and transitions.
- Complete daily attendance, CCAP, Pathway, and CACFP paperwork when needed.
- Help to keep the classroom clean, tidy and free from any danger.
- Assist in busing students, serving meals, bathrooms and running carts to the kithcen.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention practices, and special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as first aid and CPR; additional qualifications in early childhood education or Montessori teaching are a plus.
- Ability to work with other team members to support student needs.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality in handling district information.

Pay: $15.20 - $16.73 per hour
