Position Overview: Brainfuse is seeking highly motivated and skilled bilingual Spanish tutors to join our team. As a bilingual tutor, you will provide high-quality educational support in both Spanish and English, teaching one or more subjects (such as Math, Science, and Social Studies) in Spanish, based on your area of expertise. Many of the students you’ll work with are Spanish speakers, so a high level of Spanish fluency is required to effectively assist them. Shifts are available every day from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time, with flexibility to choose multiple shift blocks throughout the day.
Subjects Available:
- Math: K-12 Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics
- Science: K-12 Science, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics
- Social Studies: K-12 Social Studies, History
- Social Sciences: Economics, Finance
- Test Preparation: SAT, Subject-Specific Prep
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality tutoring support in both Spanish and English, primarily assisting Spanish-speaking students.
- Teach a specific subject (such as Math, Science, Social Studies, History, Economics, or Finance) in Spanish, depending on your expertise.
- Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students and groups, ensuring effective comprehension.
- Adjust teaching methods to accommodate each student’s unique learning style and language proficiency.
- Help students with homework, test preparation, and mastering challenging concepts.
- Provide live assistance through our online virtual whiteboard using text, audio, and video.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proven bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Experience tutoring or teaching students across various grade levels (K-12), with the ability to teach one or more subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, History, Economics, or Finance in Spanish.
- Strong understanding of K-12 subject areas, including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Social Studies, and more.
- A personal computer with a fast and stable internet connection, along with a reliable microphone and webcam for interactive online sessions.
Work Hours:
- Shifts are available every day from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time, with flexibility to choose multiple shift blocks throughout the day.
- Tutors also have the option to log on at any time for on-demand tutoring, meaning you don’t have to commit to a fixed shift or be scheduled in advance.
Compensation:
- $18 per hour for regular bilingual Spanish tutoring sessions.
- $25 per hour for prearranged high-dosage tutoring (HDT) sessions in subjects such as Math, Science, Social Studies, History, Economics, or Finance, with bilingual Spanish support.
