American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Medical/Surgical unit in a 154-bed, Joint Commission Accredited hospital located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville
-
39-bed Med/Surg unit serving adult and geriatric populations
-
Common diagnoses include fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
-
Patient ratio of approximately 4:1
-
Charting is done in Paragon EHR
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required on weekends
-
No on-call requirements
-
13-week contract
-
Active RN license in NC or a Compact state currently in hand
-
AHA certifications required (e.g., BLS)
-
Minimum 1–2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
-
SSN and date of birth required for consideration
-
Orientation is held bi-weekly
-
RNs are required to wear navy blue scrubs

Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible

The facility is part of the Duke LifePoint Health system and serves a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, spine, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health

Located near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with easy access to Asheville, Knoxville, and Greenville
