Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and developing a proactive maintenance culture through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge who enjoys improving equipment performance, leading maintenance teams, managing capital projects, and partnering with production to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily maintenance operations for all production equipment and facility systems.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Maximize equipment uptime while minimizing unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose equipment failures and oversee timely corrective maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Partner with production leadership to prioritize maintenance activities and coordinate planned shutdowns.
- Manage CMMS work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and maintenance documentation.
- Maintain spare parts inventory while controlling maintenance costs and operating within budget.
- Analyze maintenance metrics, identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Arc Flash and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs.
- Coordinate outside contractors, equipment vendors, and maintenance service providers.
- Lead equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and capital improvement projects.
- Evaluate maintenance personnel performance and identify training and development opportunities.
- Support the selection, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- At least 2 years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience managing preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with CMMS software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
