Signs Now Mundelein is looking for a motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to join our team as a Sign Maker/Production and Installation person. WE WILL TRAIN!! This person must be detail-oriented and be able to efficiently manage multiple projects. We are looking for a team player who enjoys making and/or building things.
Job Responsibilities
- Fabricate interior and exterior signs and graphics using vinyl, metal, wood, acrylic, and plastics. (This is a “working with your hands” type position)
- Responsible for preparing materials and producing all graphic/signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline
- Responsible for operating the laminator, panel saw drill press and vinyl cutter
- Responsible for specified graphic/signage installations at the client’s site
- Make specified sign order deliveries as needed
- Assist with on-site signage inspection and sign measuring tasks
- Assist with walk-in clients and answering phones as needed
- Consult/interface with customers by phone and in person
- Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs
- Learn new technologies, skills and techniques necessary to meet customer’s needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing/production area
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Full-time availability (40 hours/week, M-F)
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficiency in using power tools (drills, saws, impact drivers, etc.)
- Must be able to read a tape measure and interpret various measurements
- Must be able to climb a ladder and work at various heights (up to 15 ft)
- Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently and as an integral team member
Desired Qualifications (not required, but a plus)
- 1-2 years of experience making signs – design and production including:
o Vinyl creation and application
o Experience with large format digital printing
o Good computer skills
o Experience using Adobe Design tool suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Vehicle wrap installation
- Experience with RIP software
- Knowledge in color management
- Experience with CoreBridge workflow management software
- Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.,
