POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a co-ed sober living home. The Live In House Manger is a salary position which includes free rent. The Live In House Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe living atmosphere in a sober house environment. Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the House Manager will assist in client needs and monitor the clients while they are in the program. House Managers are responsible for documenting activities of daily living and will assist in facilitating the services required for treatment. House Managers will also assist counselors with crisis management and program activities as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors the needs and behaviors of clients
- Provides excellent customer service to clients
- Engage in continuing education about alcohol and drug abuse/addiction and the principles of recovery
- Follow all practices detailed in the companies Policies and Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to state and federal regulations and laws involved in the care of clients and the facility’s license.
- Able to transport clients to treatment facility and meetings
- Maintains facility cleanliness and upkeep of property
- Utilizes principles of communicable disease prevention
- Recognizes early signs of illness, the need for professional assistance and follows through with a report to the Operations Director
- Recognizes individuals under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and documents when needed in communication log and/or an Incident report
- Responds to emergencies and initiates action accordingly
- Discusses significant events involving client’s activities with Clinical Treatment Team
- Follows HIPAA guidelines
- Able to provide drug screen to clients if necessary
- Awake during shift hours
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and staff training
- Compliant with curfew and morning wake-up call
- Be available to deal with any relapse situations and help deescalate any volatile situations
- Maintain House Rules at all times
- Have a good/healthy relationship with clients
- Other duties as need be
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge: The incumbent will:
- Have a strong knowledge or interest in chemical dependency and substance abuse
- Possess strong ability to communicate and work effectively with co workers
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
Abilities: To excel in this position the incumbent should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

- Attendance, Punctuality, Reliability – Arrive on-site, on-time, as scheduled, consistently with a professional disposition. Ensure all work responsibilities are covered in the event of an absence or scheduled

- Strong Character – Staying calm under pressure is essential. Having an approachable demeanor without compromising True Self Recovery Standards of ethics and guidelines
- Organization – Must be highly organized and efficient in managing the necessary daily client/staff demands and tasks associated with this
- Flexibility – Openness to different and new ways of doing things; willingness to modify one's preferred way of doing things
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
- At least one year of sobriety if in recovery
- Experience, knowledge or interest in chemical dependency and knowledge of the 12 steps
- Valid Arkansas Driver’s License
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with co workers
- Current CPR & First Aid
- Pass pre-employment screenings
