A Day in the Life
As a Machine Operator, you’ll set up, operate, and adjust equipment to produce high‑quality products while following safety and quality standards.
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate machines and equipment such as band saws, presses, welders, shears, cranes, forklifts, and other department tools
- Perform production processes including inspecting, measuring, cutting, forming, welding, stacking, loading, and unloading materials
- Read and interpret drawings and routing sheets
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures
- Inspect parts, separate non‑conforming material, and record production and scrap as required
- Maintain accurate production records
- Keep machines, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized
You’ll also be expected to provide your own basic hand tools and follow all safety and quality procedures.
What Will Help You Thrive
- Ability to sit or stand and perform repetitive work for at least 8 hours
- Ability to read, see, hear, walk, and use both hands throughout the shift
- Comfort working in a high‑temperature manufacturing environment
- Ability to climb as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Ability to lift 60–65 lbs. and carry short distances
