Farmers Kitchen + Bar in downtown Minneapolis is seeking a high energy and experienced Brunch Line Cook to assist our Executive Chef and Sous Chef in managing menu and kitchen operations.
Candidate must have at least 1-2 years line cook experience.
Must be available Saturday and Sunday AM shifts!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively champions the company’s vision, mission, culture, and overall business objectives.
- Supports a high-performance team culture that values continuous improvements, learning and a commitment to quality.
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces as required.
- Cooks food items by cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
- Maintains cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage (follows policies, laws, and regulations at all times).
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces throughout each shift.
- Scrubs, cleans and maintains kitchen equipment as indicated (proper storage temperatures are met, food rotated in the freezer as indicated, etc.).
- Collaborates with serving staff
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Is high energy and enjoys working in a fast-paced, productive environment.
- Solid work history, organized and efficient.
- Must be available Saturday and Sunday AM brunch shifts.
- Dependability to work independently and have commitment to attendance to daily shifts and arrive on time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and speed in executing tasks.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Follows instructions and directions with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Toast.
- Speak and/or understand English
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
