Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks and assisting skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience working on construction sites. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects including renovation, new builds, and restoration work.
Duties
- Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Support carpentry, framing, roofing, and drywall installation tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, concrete forms, rebar, and other construction supplies
- Aid in concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and formwork installation for various structures
- Install rebar and metal studs according to schematics and blueprints for structural support
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, pumps, or forklifts as trained and authorized
- Read blueprints and schematics to assist with layout and installation tasks including tile laying, flooring, stucco, plastering, and caulking
- Support masonry work including bricklaying, stonework, or stucco application
- Assist with demolition or renovation projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new work
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure job site
Experience
- Prior construction site experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Knowledge of construction estimating is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Experience with concrete finishing, framing (metal stud or wood), roofing, masonry, welding, or tile laying is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to construction projects
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment on diverse projects including restoration or commercial builds

Pay: $23.89 - $28.76 per hour
