American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures.
-
Work in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology settings
-
Perform cardiology, vascular intervention, and IR cases
-
Experience with Impella and thrombectomy preferred
-
4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
-
Call requirement of 10-12 days per month

Uses fluoroscopy and PACS equipment
-
Minimum of 2 years experience in cath lab and IR procedures required
-
Current ACLS and BLS certification required
-
ARRT (R) or RCIS certification required (only one needed)
-
ARRT CI, ARRT VI, CCI RCES, and CCI RCIS certifications preferred
-
State license required if applicable
-
Community hospital experience preferred
-
Skilled in scrubbing, monitoring, and maintaining sterile fields
-
Proficient in EKG lead placement, vascular access prep, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
-
Lead tech experience preferred
-
Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures

Perform a wide range of procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PPI, IABP and Impella placement/removal, angioplasty, stent placement, and various vascular and IR studies
-
Maintain and stock equipment and supplies, and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
-
Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays and 3 out of 5 winter holidays

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Travel pairs accepted on a case-by-case basis
