Job Overview
The Raw Product Procurement Manager oversees the entire raw material supply chain, from sourcing to ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Ensure that all raw materials purchased will meet established quality specifications and budgeted costs. Collaborate daily with plant and agricultural operations on raw material demand planning and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, raw product forecasting/budgeting, supply chain development, production usage and application and inventory management. Person should be a constant facilitator of raw procurement efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Ability to procure and deliver large quantities of high-value, raw product in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, addressing any issues or disputes.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize raw material sourcing and cost.
- Forecasting demand for raw materials to ensure adequate inventory and prevent shortages.
- Manage procurement budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Place purchase orders for raw materials, ensuring accurate specifications and timely delivery.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure sufficient raw materials for production.
- Ensure that raw materials meet quality standards and specifications, coordinating with quality control teams.
- Implement measures to prevent quality issues and ensure a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials
- Must be able to effectively communicate raw availability and forecasts to key members of the operations management team.
- Must be able to travel for business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is preferred.
- 5+ years of procurement experience – to include commodity management across various categories such as: raw materials, energy, MRO supplies, component repairs/rebuilds, capital, and services procurement, including inventory management.
- Exceptional integrity with very strong leadership, negotiation and strategic thinking skills
- Demonstrated and outstanding team building, conflict resolution, problem solving, communications,
- Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, Office and other.
Education and Experience
- BA in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or an equivalent industry recognized certificate
- Any combination of education and/experience that provides the needed knowledge and skills. Experience in transportation or agriculture is highly desirable.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
