Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 75 - bed skilled nursing facility that is looking for a Dietary Cook to join our team and provide nutritious meals to our geriatric residents.
The successful candidate will have experience in preparing meals for large groups, be knowledgeable in nutrition and dietary restrictions, and have excellent customer service skills. This position requires a great deal of organization and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals for geriatric patients according to their dietary needs and restrictions.
- Monitor and document patient food intake.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines when preparing food.
- Communicate with dietitians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that meals meet the nutritional needs of patients.
- Be knowledgeable about the nutritional needs of geriatric patients.
