Job Summary
MTM Environmental is a specialty environmental and civil construction subcontractor working stream restoration, wetland construction, vegetation management, airfield services, and security infrastructure. We're adding an assistant PM to build depth on our project management bench, working alongside our PM team on active division work, including federal highway contracts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction management skills while contributing to impactful infrastructure projects.
Duties
- Support day-to-day project management on assigned projects: scheduling, submittals, RFIs, and material tracking
- Assist in developing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction scheduling tools to ensure timely project delivery.
- Support project coordination efforts by communicating effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Help monitor project progress through construction site visits, tracking milestones, and updating schedules accordingly.
- Contribute to cost management by analyzing Excel data for budget tracking and assisting in construction estimating processes.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and civil engineering project management tools to document progress, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change orders.
- Aid in contract administration by reviewing contractual documents and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Support project managers in analyzing delays or issues through analysis skills and proposing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years prior experience in construction management or civil engineering project management is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 is essential.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, and civil engineering project management tools.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, cost management, and contract administration processes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for data-driven decision-making using Excel data analysis techniques.
- Proven project coordination experience on construction sites with a solid understanding of construction site safety protocols.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling practices and experience working with heavy civil or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- Experience supporting quality control or quality assurance on a construction project
- Experience with federal highway or other federal contract types
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
