**Job Overview**
We are seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in boat maintenance, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all vehicles leave the shop in excellent working condition.
**Responsibilities**
- Perform routine boat maintenance tasks, including oil changes, outboard service, I/O Service, Inboard Service, Marine Electronics, Winterizing & more.
-Willingness to complete or have already completed the marine mechanics school for Mercury Outboards, Rotax Outboards & Rotax Jet
-Harborside Marina is a full service marina located in WIlmington, IL & mechanics will be expected to help with other tasks around the marina such as but not limited to Floating Home Waste System Maintenace, Dock Repairs, Bottom Washing, Boat Storage, Buffing/Waxing Boats, Pressure Washing, Harbor Water System Repairs & Winterizing & more. It is never a dull moment around the Marina & we are looking for a team player to jump in as needed with the knowing that the Marine Mechanic Job title does not stop at just working on boats.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
- Read and interpret schematics to identify and repair electrical and mechanical issues
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively and addressing customer concerns
- Sell maintenance and repair services to customers, with the goal of maximizing revenue
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Operate a rig to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
- Use an ohmmeter to test electrical systems and diagnose issues
- Possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to apply that knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
**Qualifications**
- A strong background in boat maintenance
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and schematics
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to providing exceptional service to customers
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical systems and marine mechanical maintenance.
- At least 2 years experience in the marine mechanical field.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
