Overview: Do you have a toolbox that's more organized than your sock drawer? Can you fix a leaky faucet, wrangle a rogue electrical outlet, and make a broken door beg for mercy—all before lunch? If so, we need your skills, your know-how, and your sense of humor to keep our condominium communities in tip-top shape. Welcome to the wild world of being a Maintenance Technician with our team!
Key Responsibilities
Master of Repairs:
- Be the hero of broken things—whether it’s a finicky light fixture, a clogged sink, or a door that just won’t shut up (or close properly), you’re on it.
- Perform routine maintenance that keeps our condos looking pristine and running like a well-oiled machine. You know, the usual: carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, drywall and basically anything else with moving parts.
- Respond to maintenance requests with the speed of a caffeinated cheetah. Our residents need you, and we know you’ll be there.
Inspector Gadget:
- Conduct regular inspections of the property—spotting potential issues before they become actual problems. It’s like you’ve got x-ray vision or something.
- Identify and report any safety hazards faster than you can say “Trip hazard!” because safety is our middle name (not really, but it’s close).
Jack-of-All-Trades:
- From hanging pictures to patching drywall, you’re the Swiss Army knife of maintenance. No job is too small, no challenge too big.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and keeping common areas looking spiffy. Your green thumb and snow-shoveling skills are legendary (or at least highly appreciated).
Team Player:
- Work closely with the property management team and contractors, sharing your wisdom and occasional dad jokes to keep the vibe positive and productive.
- Help out during special projects, renovations, and emergencies. If there’s a flood, fire, or power outage, you’re the calm in the storm (and probably the first one on the scene).
Tool Time:
- Maintain your tools and equipment like they’re your prized possessions—because they are. A well-maintained tool is a happy tool.
- Keep an eye on inventory, ensuring that we’re always stocked with the essentials. No one wants to run out of duct tape or WD-40, after all.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (bonus points if you learned to fix things before you could walk).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience. If you’ve ever been called a “handyman,” “Mr. Fix-It,” or “miracle worker,” you’re probably a good fit.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry. If you can do it all with one hand tied behind your back, even better.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and think on your feet—because sometimes the solution isn’t in the manual.
- Strong communication skills, a sense of humor, and a genuine love for helping people. We’re looking for someone who can brighten a resident’s day while replacing a light bulb.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job (think heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and occasionally crawling into tight spaces). Superhuman strength not required but definitely a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation—because you never know when or where your skills will be needed next.
Perks:
- Competitive salary and plenty of time off.
- The satisfaction of knowing you’re the person everyone calls when things go wrong—and they actually like seeing you!
- A team that appreciates your hard work, your expertise, and your ability to fix things that seemed unfixable.
