Job Title: Material Handler
Duration: Contract till December 2026 - with possibilities of converting to permanent or extensions
Hourly pay: $25
Location: Novi, Michigan - onsite 5 days a week
Schedule time: 9/9:30-5 PM EST
The Material Handler III – Manufacturing Support role is responsible for inspecting surgical tool kits and maintaining inventory accuracy to ensure products are prepared for operating rooms. This position supports the inbound operations team, which manages materials entering the facility, including inspecting and restocking inventory, organizing warehouse locations, building shelving, labeling, and preparing products for distribution.
This is a team-oriented, fast-paced warehouse environment supporting products used in surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect surgical tool kits, inventory, and incoming/outgoing products to ensure quality, accuracy, compliance, and readiness for scheduled surgeries, documenting any damaged, defective, expired, or missing items.
- Manage inventory by scanning, replenishing, stocking, labeling, organizing warehouse locations, and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Support warehouse operations by processing incoming materials and outbound shipments, verifying product availability, coordinating product movement, and assisting with equipment deliveries and product returns.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse by upholding safety standards, supporting FQMS compliance and service-level investigations, and ensuring warehouse equipment, tools, supplies, and storage areas remain properly maintained.
Qualifications:
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
Desired:
Previous experience in medical devices, sterile processing (SPD), quality control, or quality inspection is preferred.
