Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive seating service to ensure a positive first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing transactions efficiently
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality, including cocktail and beverage service
- Upsell menu items like wines, spirits, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, handle special requests professionally, and resolve concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or fine dining environments is preferred; nightclub or hospitality experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales transactions
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and ability to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
- Culinary experience or food industry background is advantageous for understanding menu items and food handling procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
