Receives, processes, and directs calls from customers acting as the first point of contact to take orders, answer questions, suggest products, resolve conflict, and take payments.
Essential Functions and Duties
1. Customer Service
a. Answers the phone in a timely manner to take orders and/or payments and answer questions about products
b. Enter customer, dumpster, and payment information into computer system
c. Direct phone calls and inquiries to the correct team member
d. Always maintain a professional and courteous manner
e. Build sustainable relationships with customers to ensure trust
f. Handle complaints by providing solutions and alternatives if possible
g. Contact customers to let them know delivery times or if there need to be changes to their order
h. Make outbound calls to promote sales
i. Monitors orders and info mailboxes
2. Paperwork
a. Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
b. Transfer customer orders from order form to computer system
c. Maintain customer databases
d. Reconcile landfill weight tickets. Must possess excellent verbal, written and computer skills.
Needs strong decision making and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment
