Job Overview
Racky PPEC, located in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide specialized skilled nursing care to medically complex children (birth through age 20) in a non-residential medical daycare setting. This position as a Registered Nurse offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families by delivering personalized care, nursing interventions, and developmental support.
Registered Nurse Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide skilled nursing care, including medication administration, feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and wound care for medically fragile children.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct daily assessments, track vitals, monitor developmental progress, and manage seizures or respiratory issues.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with pediatricians, therapists (PT/OT/ST), and family members to implement individualized care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and nursing documentation.
- Family Support & Education: Educate caregivers on home care routines and medical equipment usage.
- Emergency Response: Provide expert pediatric CPR and emergency interventions.
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
