We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to lead and oversee dietary operations within our skilled nursing facility. In this vital leadership role, you will ensure the delivery of nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to residents’ clinical needs while maintaining strict compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the dietary department
- Manage food service staff, including scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management
- Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with planned menus and approved substitutions
- Prepare and oversee food production following standardized recipes and therapeutic diet orders
- Review resident care plans to ensure dietary needs and preferences are met
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to support nutritional assessments and counseling
- Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including sanitation and food safety standards
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support overall resident care
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents and staff
Qualifications
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required or willingness to obtain within 1 year
- Illinois Food Service Sanitation Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of therapeutic diets and regulatory compliance
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
