Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or fine dining recommendations
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest comfort
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for bills and tips
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience with food industry tools like OpenTable for reservations or upselling techniques to increase sales
- Excellent communication skills paired with basic math proficiency for cashiering and cash handling tasks
