Position Overview
At Sevco Restoration, our mission is to help people and businesses recover from property damage with integrity, urgency, and care. Our team responds to both water and fire losses, helping customers navigate the aftermath of flooding, leaks, smoke, soot, and structural damage.
As a Water & Fire Restoration Technician, you play a critical role in stabilizing affected properties, preventing further damage, and restoring structures and contents. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform hands-on work in fast-paced and often challenging environments.
We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Arizona Field Operations team. This is a field-based role supporting emergency response, water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, contents handling, demolition, and general restoration services.

Key Responsibilities Water Mitigation & Fire Restoration
- Respond to residential and commercial water and fire damage projects
- Assess and document water, fire, smoke, and soot damage
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, and moisture monitoring
- Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers
- Perform structural cleaning and smoke residue removal in accordance with industry standards
- Remove damaged materials such as drywall, insulation, flooring, and cabinetry
- Perform deodorization using approved odor-control methods (e.g., hydroxyl, ozone, thermal fogging)
- Set up containment, air scrubbers, and HEPA filtration systems
- Identify safety hazards and maintain awareness of site conditions
- Communicate job progress and site conditions to Project Managers
Contents Pack-Out, Inventory & Cleaning
- Inventory, photograph, pack, label, and transport affected belongings
- Clean and restore salvageable contents including furniture, electronics, and textiles
- Track contents throughout pack-out, storage, and return processes
- Handle customer property with care, professionalism, and respect
General Restoration Duties
- Assist with demolition, cleanup, and structural stabilization
- Support environmental remediation and reconstruction efforts as directed
- Maintain flexibility to work across various project types and conditions
- Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe
Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA and Arizona safety regulations at all times
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators
- Conduct job hazard assessments before and during projects
- Maintain safe and compliant work environments
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency calls
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Preferred:
- Experience in water mitigation, fire restoration, or construction
- IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, OCT, CCT)
- Experience with contents handling and inventory systems
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Work Environment
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role. Technicians frequently work in environments affected by water, moisture, smoke, soot, debris, and varying temperatures, including confined or hazardous spaces.
