Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and skill acquisition accurately and consistently using established data collection methods
- Use applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors in a supportive manner
- Collaborate with team members to modify treatment strategies based on data insights and client response
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation in medical records
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- We are looking for an RBT with experience implementing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-informed strategies within ABA services and expeirence supporting teenagers. Experience supporting emotional regulation, psychological flexibility, and values-based behavior change is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and teaching strategies tailored to diverse learning needs
- Ability to work effectively with children and individuals requiring patient care and behavioral management support
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, and team members
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation procedures, and care plan implementation is advantageous
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance by safeguarding sensitive medical records and personal information
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required
