Swan Point Yacht and Country Club is seeking an experienced and energetic manager to join our team
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the front-of-house operations for all club dining and events, ensuring exceptional guest service and efficient daily execution. This role directly manages service staff and beverage operations, and works in collaboration with the Executive Chef, kitchen operations and culinary staff. The manager is accountable for FOH staffing, service standards, budgeting, and guest satisfaction, while maintaining alignment with company policies and profitability goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise all front-of-house food and beverage staff, including servers, bartenders, and beverage cart attendants.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to support back-of-house staffing, communication, and execution, ensuring seamless service between FOH and BOH teams.
- Develop and manage the annual FOH budget and operating plan, aligning with company financial objectives and cost control standards.
- Create and manage service schedules to maintain guest service standards while optimizing labor efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all FOH areas including dining rooms, bars, patios, restrooms, and beverage carts.
- Oversee ordering and inventory management for all FOH supplies and beverages; assist with food inventory systems as needed.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are upheld in all food and beverage service areas.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executing member events, banquets, and outings, coordinating details, and ensuring a smooth execution.
- Develop and implement front-of-house marketing, promotions, and guest engagement initiatives to drive revenue and member satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, food safety regulations, ADA requirements, and company guidelines (e.g., TIPS or R.A.M. certification).
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate FOH staff
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices through continuing education and association involvement.
- Submit timely reports related to FOH operations, labor, budget, and other key metrics.
- Perform additional duties as required to support food and beverage operations.
Qualifications:
- High school degree required
- 4 years applicable functional, supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in the golf industry.
- Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, staff management.
- Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
