Front Office Receptionist
We prefer a candidate with at 3 years of medical office experience.
- General Purpose of this Position is to answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, answer questions, or direct patients/callers to appropriate parties, and check in arriving patients.
- In addition to the aforementioned, this position is also responsible for maintaining accurate and updated patient contact information as well as processing payments from patients.
- Must be able to work the following hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM AND every other Saturday 9 AM - 12 PM
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Greeting all arriving vendors and visitors and verifying credentials
- Greet and check in all patients for appointments
- Verifying contact information and run insurance eligibility for patients.
- Process payments via credit card terminal and/or cash payments.
- Opening and closing the cash drawer and balancing each day.
- Opening and logging daily mail, processing any payments received through mail.
- Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality within the clinic.

- Education and/or Experience - Minimum of High School Degree, experience with operating a switchboard, phone, and credit card processing terminals and handling money.

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, other employees and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide currency and balance cash drawer with use of tools.
- Give correct change when dealing with cash payments.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Google Mail and Calendar, Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word, accurate keyboard skills Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None, Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
