Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as TOAST.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and upsell menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic math calculations to ensure accurate billing and transactions.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving practices in compliance with alcohol laws and food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering events or banquet functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Demonstrate proficiency in time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods in nightclubs or restaurant settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments; hospitality background preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totals accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume service periods.
- Experience in catering or food industry roles is a plus; retail math skills are beneficial for efficient transactions.
