Title: Assembly/General Production
Reports to: Line Supervisor & Plant Manager
Physical Demands: The person in this position must have manual dexterity such as the ability to perform intricate finger, hand, wrist, and arm movements without risk of injury to self or others. This includes the ability to feel, twist, handle and manipulate small objects, tools and controls.
Position requires regular use of machines and equipment such as lathes, drill press, or grinder to make or parts.
The ability to stand for long periods of time is required. The person in this position will frequently be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Good eyesight, including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus is required.
Work Environment: The assembly linesperson will work in a shop environment that may or may not fluctuate with the external weather conditions. While performing the required duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to vibration, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise levels.
