The Dance Teacher will facilitate therapeutic, age-appropriate dance and movement activities for children ages 4–12 as part of The HER Center’s mental health day treatment program. Working collaboratively with the clinical and program staff, the Dance Teacher will use dance, creative movement, and music to promote emotional regulation, self-expression, confidence, social skills, teamwork, and overall emotional wellness. Responsibilities include planning and leading structured movement activities that support individualized treatment goals, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, encouraging positive peer interactions, adapting activities to meet participants’ developmental and behavioral needs, monitoring participant engagement and safety, and documenting attendance and participation as required. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and understands how movement and creative expression can support social-emotional growth and mental wellness.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
