Job Summary
We are a wedding & event company seeking a dependable and hardworking Event Driver & Setup Coordinator to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for picking up a company van from our Vista location, safely transporting event equipment to wedding and event sites throughout San Diego and Orange County, and leading the setup and breakdown of event spaces.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, physical work, and being part of creating seamless, beautifully executed events. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients and guests experience a smooth and professional event from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and operate a company van from our Vista location to transport event equipment and décor to and from venues
- Safely load and unload chairs, arches, tables, floral items, and event décor while following proper lifting and safety protocols
- Set up and break down event spaces according to provided diagrams and instructions, ensuring a clean and professional presentation
- Deliver flowers and small décor items to venues when needed
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of rental items (including light cleaning of chairs and equipment before and after events)
- Manage driving routes and arrival schedules to ensure timely venue setup
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate logistics and event flow
- Represent the company with a positive, professional, and service-oriented attitude at all times
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a company van across San Diego and Orange County
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs (chairs, arches, tables, and décor)
- Availability on weekends (most events occur Friday–Sunday) and some weekdays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow setup instructions and layouts
- Punctual, reliable, and professional in appearance and communication
- Comfortable working outdoors and at various venue types
- Experience in delivery driving and event setup/breakdown
Preferred (Not Required)
- Customer service, hospitality, or wedding/event industry experience
Compensation
- $30 per hour, depending on experience
