American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Rad Technician (ARRT) with at least 1 year of cardiovascular lab experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital cardiology unit.

Hospital-based cardiovascular/cardiac cath lab setting within a cardiology unit

Performs both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

13-week contract

Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular lab or interventional radiology department

ARRT-R and state license (if applicable), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
-
ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional Technologist) or ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist), or RCIS required
-
BLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted)
-
ACLS required (AHA or Red Cross accepted)

Proficient computer skills required

DOB and SSN required for consideration

Assists the cardiologist or radiologist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and/or therapeutic cardiovascular procedures

Responsible for ensuring procedure rooms are adequately prepared and maintaining par levels of instruments and supplies

Participates in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training of new staff
-
Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring is preferred

Workplace Violence Prevention training (DCI/BVP) required — can be completed via Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or the free CDC resource
