MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the company's business facilities and office spaces to ensure they remain safe, functional, and well-presented. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled in multiple maintenance trades, and able to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout office buildings and business facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, windows, locks, flooring, drywall, and general building systems.
- Complete carpentry, painting, patching, and other general maintenance projects.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Assemble, install, and relocate office furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Maintain exterior areas, including walkways, parking areas, landscaping support, and seasonal maintenance as assigned.
- Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, safe, and compliant with company standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three or more years of commercial, residential, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and work independently.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, if required.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Occasionally work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
Job Type - Full-time
Compensation – $18.00 per hour
