Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher specializing in 1st grade to inspire young learners and foster a love for education. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 1st grade students, incorporating educational technology and differentiated instruction techniques.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior effectively and utilizing classroom management strategies to ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Monitor student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, analyzing student performance data to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates, conferences, and written reports to support student development and address concerns proactively.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, special education staff, and educational administrators to design inclusive curricula that meet diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
- Incorporate literacy education, math instruction, physical education activities, and library services into daily lessons to promote well-rounded development.
- Support early childhood development principles by integrating Montessori methods or other progressive educational approaches where appropriate.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood education, special education strategies—including working with children with autism—and the latest educational technology tools.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience teaching elementary school students, particularly in 1st grade or early childhood settings.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards while fostering creativity and critical thinking.
- Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Strong background in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement among young learners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, student progress monitoring tools, and data analysis for instructional improvement.
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, literacy education best practices, and math instruction tailored for early learners.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills working with teachers, staff, parents, and community resources such as library services or tutoring programs.
- Experience integrating educational technology into lesson plans to enhance learning outcomes across different subjects.
