JOB This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership, supervision and recruiting of the baseball players in the athletic program that has been assigned to him/her. The individual may also have other duties assigned and will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and/or controlling of his/her players’ behavior in the residence halls.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1. Assist in the supervision of all activities of the assigned athletic program with a focus on recruiting;
2. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district;
3. Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the administration, faculty, and support staff;
4. Assist in the supervision of the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance;
5. Assist in maintaining and reporting accurate scholarship information to the Director of Athletics, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed and as assigned by the head coach;
6. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program;
7. Coordinates, through the head coach, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities;
8. Participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
9. Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations is mandatory.
10. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
