Previous UPS Store experience will get you an interview instantly. Notary Public and Livescan approval are a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shipping, printing, and retail needs
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card processing
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell services or merchandise to enhance customer experience
- Stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain organized displays to attract customers
- Manage inventory levels through stocking, product demos, and merchandising efforts
- Handle phone inquiries with professional etiquette, directing calls appropriately and answering questions clearly
- Support supervising staff in daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures and ensuring store cleanliness
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in bilingual settings preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, inventory counts, and retail math calculations
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a bonus; leadership qualities are highly valued
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
