Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers including dry van, refrigerated (reefer), and flatbed trailers to transport freight across regional or over-the-road (OTR) routes
- Safely load and unload cargo, adhering to all safety protocols and handling procedures for freight including hazardous materials and dangerous goods
- Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel and time savings
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Manage documentation related to freight shipments, delivery logs, load manifests, and compliance paperwork accurately
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Maintain vehicle maintenance records and report any mechanical concerns promptly to ensure continuous safe operation
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including tractor-trailer operation with manual transmission preferred
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, and hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat certification is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling procedures
- Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and delivery efficiency
- Ability to manually handle cargo loading/unloading tasks safely and effectively
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling expertise, and route driving experience
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role including lifting heavy freight when necessary

Pay: $3,484.35 - $4,196.21 per week
