We are seeking a part-time Veterinary Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. This position primarily covers Fridays and Saturdays, with the potential for additional weekday hours.
As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while supporting our medical team and helping our hospital run smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Welcome clients and pets with warmth and professionalism.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to client inquiries via phone, email, and text.
- Maintain accurate client and patient records using our practice management software.
- Process invoices, payments, estimates, and daily cash reconciliation.
- Prepare and organize medical records, consent forms, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to coordinate patient care and communicate client arrivals or urgent needs.
- Room clients promptly and help maintain a clean, organized reception area.
- Educate clients about preventive care, hospital services, and PAW Plans.
- Follow up on reminders, missed appointments, and prescription requests.
- Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues when appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous customer service experience required; veterinary, medical, or animal-related experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, calm demeanor.
- Comfortable using computers and learning practice management software.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for helping people and their pets.
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
