Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse/Receiving Operator to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment. Duties
- Receive, unload, and inspect inbound shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to ensure proper handling and safety.
- Operate scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements and update stock records in real-time.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision, ensuring correct items are selected using order pickers and RF scanners.
- Load outbound shipments onto trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated areas for easy access and optimal space utilization.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation, including verifying quantities, inspecting packaging integrity, and updating ERP systems (computer)
- Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace aligned with company standards.
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes.
- Valid forklift certification (preferred) with experience operating reach trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, RF scanners, and similar ERP systems.
- Math skills for inventory counting.
- Experience with order picking & packing in distribution environments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, lifting (up to 50 lbs) heavy items safely, and operating warehouse equipment (forklift).
- Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety procedures
